Procedure – Form three lines behind three cones. Place one cone on at he sideline at the 50 yard line (offensive player). Place one cone on the 50 yard line 10 yards in from the side line (offensive player).. Place the third come 10 yards in from the sideline and 15 yards in from the 50 yard line (defensive player). The player from the sideline line throws the ball into the other attacking player. Once the player throws the ball in, he joins in the attack. Together the two attacking players attempt to score. The goal of the defensive player is to win the ball the pass it back to the coach.

Key coaching points –– Encourage the two attacking players to work as a team and, god forbid, pass to each other.

Variations –Once the players are comfortable with the positioning and objectives of the drill, let them seek their own positioning and use to cones as only a place for the resting players to stand. Add a Goalie
