Blast Barney

Skill – Dribbling

Area – 10 x 30 feet

Equipment – All the balls

Players – Whole team (6 players)

Procedure – Pick a kid out to be Barney. Create an area with cones that Barney can run down. Non Barney players lie in wait for Barney to run past their position so that they can blast Barney (below the waist) by shooting the ball.

Key coaching points – Work on power and accuracy in shooting. Also explain to the children the perils of being a green dinosaur.
