Air Balls
Procedure Form one line of players fifteen yards in front of and facing the goal. The coach stands behind the the goal with all the balls. The coach tosses a ball to the first player in line. That player traps the ball and shoots. Key coaching points Encourage the players to trap the balls using the appropriate type of trap. Discourage backing up before shooting. Encourage the players to touch the ball before it hits the ground whenever possible. Discourage excessive number of touches before shooting. Encourage shooting at the back post. Variations add a goalie Comments One of the big problems young soccer players have is that they are not capable of using both feet equally well. Work extra hard on a players weak side
